Our commitments
Acting with the greatest respect for the planet : our requirement
To guarantee quality milk, the Sodiaal cooperative is implementing a resilient agricultural model that respects resources, while guaranteeing animal welfare on our farms.
Promote animal welfare
Through the « La Route du Lait » quality standards, our breeders commit to paying particular attention to the welfare of their cows, based on 16 criteria covering five fundamental freedoms.
In 2024, 99% of our participating farmers had conducted a Boviwell assessment aimed at evaluating the welfare of their dairy herd
Continuing our pioneering approach to low-carbon support
More than 225 Sodiaal farms are committed to a low-carbon approach aimed at reducing the impact of milk production.
We aim to reduce the net carbon footprint per litre of milk from our upstream dairy production by 20% between 2019 and 2030.
Develop carbon sinks
Present in 72 departments, through livestock farming, our farmers maintain and enhance nearly 400,000 hectares of meadows. Trees, hedges, bocages, and meadows serve as 'carbon sinks' useful for absorbing greenhouse gases.
66% of the usable agricultural area of farms participating in Sodiaal consists of equivalent biodiversity hectares, up 1% compared to 2022.
By encouraging organic conversions on our farms and promoting the Sodiaal specifications « Le Bio Pré de Vous ».
A reduced carbon footprint at our sites
Our sites are committed daily to reducing their water and energy consumption. Their efforts are part of a certified SBTi approach aimed at reducing our carbon footprint by -70% and our water consumption by -18% by 2030, with already a -21% reduction in water consumption since 2019.
Eco-responsible packaging
Nutribio metal cans, lids and cartons are 100% recyclable.
But we are always looking to improve our packaging, particularly by reducing the amount of raw material used.
Responsible ingredients
Infant formulas without palm oil, or with certified RSPO palm oil.
Certified supply chains for sugar and cocoa.
