Our history


  • 1983: Creation of Cofranlait, manufacturer of infant and adult nutritional milk with its industrial site at Doullens.
  • Very quickly, Cofranlait develops its own brand of infant nutrition: Sunny Baby is launched in 1987.


  • Development of infant cereals and adult nutrition products, in particular dietary products.
  • International expansion, mainly in North Africa and the Middle East.
  • 1998: launch of the first Nutribio nutritional bar.


  • In 2008, Cofranlait and Sodiaal Industrie merged under Nutribio. The Montauban industrial site joined Nutribio.
  • International launch of the Nactalia brand.
  • Start of Organic infant milk.

Since 2010

  • 2011: Nutribio is wholly owned by the Sodiaal Group, the leading French dairy cooperative (5th in the world).
  • 2012: launch of Nactalia in China.
  • 2016: launch of True Green: unique and innovative manufacturing process for the production of organic infant milk formulas offering an improved traceability and a better nutritional profile.
  • 2018: expansion of the Montauban industrial site with the installation of a packaging line (for launch in 2019).

A leading player on the dairy market in Europe,
the Sodiaal Group has over 20,000 dairy farmers
and collects almost 5 billion litres of milk a year,
20% of France’s entire milk collection.

For over 20 years, the Group has been running
La Route Du Lait”, a global quality standard
that guarantees high quality milk produced
with animal welfare and environmental protection in mind.

The unique proximity with Sodiaal producers
ensures a complete traceability of the milk.
